Call for Submissions: 5th Anniversary One Take DVD

In celebration of WNDX’s 5th anniverary, we will be releasing a DVD of highlights of five years of Manitoba One Take shorts.

Since 2006, WNDX has facilitated the Winnipeg One Take Super 8 Event, supporting the development of countless new Manitoba filmmakers to create first or second works, and inspiring more established filmmakers to experiment. The One Take Super 8 Event has fostered the creation of new works that have gone on to numerous festival screenings around the world and won a number of awards.

For our fifth anniversary, we will be releasing a DVD collection and interpretive catalogue of selected films from the last 5 years of the One Take Super 8 Event.

All Manitoba filmmakers who have created work for the past years are encouraged to submit their films.

 Eligibility

• Film must have been created at a past One Take Super 8 Event at the WNDX Festival of Film & Video Art, from 2006 to 2010
• Submission must be of the original, unedited film, that was screened at the One Take Super 8 Event. No re-edits of any form are allowed.
• If your film is selected for inclusion on the DVD, you must provide the original super8 film.

 Submission Format

• DVD Screener without copy protection
• Quicktime (Must be full-resolution in either DV NTSC or Apple ProRes formats)
• Original Super8 film + Soundtrack audio CD
